Carlton Morris’ Jehovah the First Godfather Reexamines Scripture Through Science and Technology

Los Angeles, California Oct 7, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Carlton Morris examines scripture through an unconventional scientific lens in Jehovah the First Godfather, a provocative study of biblical creation, divine authority, and the search for spiritual truth.

Drawing from the Torah, Old Testament, and New Testament, Morris questions traditional interpretations of Jehovah, the Lord God, Genesis, and biblical miracles. The book proposes that accounts involving Adam and Eve, human creation, and floods may be reconsidered through concepts such as cloning, genetic engineering, advanced technology, and ancient extraterrestrial life. Morris presents these theories as pathways for inquiry rather than conventional religious doctrine.

In a review for The US Review of Books, Mihir Shah describes the work as highly thought-provoking and recognizes its commitment to research and analysis. Shah highlights the books steady structure, which introduces passages from scripture before examining their implications through science and technology. The review also notes Morris exploration of other cultures and his effort to make complex theological and scientific questions accessible through straightforward language.

Although the book challenges established philosophies of religion and creation, Morris maintains a belief in a universal creative power that transcends any single faith or institution. His analysis distinguishes that greater force from the mortal gods portrayed in sacred texts, encouraging consideration of how science, technology, and religious interpretation have shaped humanitys understanding of divinity.

Carlton Morris brings a personal history to the discussion. A retired Navy veteran, he served aboard submarines and destroyers, directed air traffic, recruited personnel, worked with the Green Berets in Vietnam, and supervised a military detention facility. After retirement, he studied commercial art and advertising while continuing his exploration of religion and esoteric doctrine.

Jehovah the First Godfather offers seekers an alternative framework for examining scripture and forming independent conclusions about creation, faith, and divine intelligence. The book is available through Amazon and other leading online booksellers.
